NetCM is a configuration management solution that provides visibility, highlights configuration inconsistencies in parameter configurations and allows for corrections to be made (automated or semi-automated).
NetCM aims to address three of the most challenging problems that Operators face around their change management process:
NetCM extracts, transforms, and loads configuration management data from all connected network elements belonging to different domains via a dynamic ETL process to a centralized database creating a digital twin of the actual network allowing for complex analytical and correlation function on the data set.
NetCM allows creation of a Digital twin of the actual network and providing Topology view , Bulk view and GIS view of the network. The system allows for various different analytics and correlations to be performed on this digital twin
Automated Audits are generated to highlight configuration discrepancies and inconsistent in the network. These inconsistencies are around many different designs e.g.Live vs Plan, Live vs History, Live vs Policy, Live vs Audit Rules, Live vs Live) as well as miss matches and misalignment between vendor, domain & technology boundaries. NetCM Automates the above functions reducing a massive overhead of manual network audits between different domains, vendors, and technologies. NetCM also allows for correction of the above inconsistencies by generation of automated scripts
The network discrepancies and activities can be corrected from NetCM with its dynamic Script generation capabilities. Once the Scripts have been generated these can be implemented in Open or Closed-loop. Based on the decisions of the relevant Engineer of were to correct the discrepancy (Network Element or Planning Tool/DB), NetCM generates the relevant MML/XML/CSV scripts that can either be scheduled and executed directly from NetCM or could be extracted and incorporated as part of an existing operator change management process
With both open and closed-loop script generation, the generated mml, XML, and API calls can be implemented onto the network and the response from NMS/network element can also be relayed back to the user.
